Rotate between community tokens
Rotation sells one registered meme and buys another through their shared quote in one atomic transaction. It is designed for changing community-token positions without unbundling and rebuilding the underlying basket.
Meme 1 → shared basket token → Meme 2
For two eligible direct-stock launches, the path is Meme 1 → shared stock token → Meme 2.
What stays the same—and what changes
Your meme holding changes. The common basket recipe, its vault and its component quantities do not. The route performs exactly two meme-pool swaps, with no basket mint, redemption, component sale or intermediate quote conversion.
This can avoid the component execution legs involved in selling to ETH and then acquiring the basket again. It does not make the transaction free, guarantee a better price, or merge the liquidity of the two meme markets.
While holding the destination meme, you still do not personally hold its quote basket or gain direct component redemption rights.
Eligible pairs
Both launches must be distinct, registered on the same chain and use official pools validated against their immutable factory records.
| Source and destination | Dedicated MVP rotation? |
|---|---|
| Two basket-paired memes using the same registered basket vault | Yes, if executable |
| Two direct-stock memes using the same registered stock-token address | Yes, if executable |
| Two different basket vaults with identical-looking recipes | No |
| Baskets with matching names or old percentage weights | No, unless exact required identity also matches |
| Two different direct-stock quotes | No |
| A direct-stock launch and a basket launch | No |
| A token rotated into itself or an unregistered launch | No |
A caller-supplied matching address is insufficient: the actual launch and pool registrations must establish identity. Zero input or zero intermediate quote output is rejected.
Walkthrough
- Open the source meme holding and select rotation.
- Choose from eligible destination launches sharing the exact quote.
- Enter the source amount. Review the destination, intermediate quote, both fees, impact, expiry, gas and final protected output.
- Approve if required and sign the complete transaction.
- Verify the destination meme amount and transaction-local refunds in the receipt.
If the second swap cannot meet the signed final minimum, both swaps revert. You should not be left holding the intermediate basket as an unrequested partial result. A failed transaction may still cost gas.
Both swap fees apply
The source sale uses its permanent fee. The destination purchase uses its applicable buy fee, including the opening schedule if still active. Rotation is not an opening-tax exemption.
After both markets' opening periods, the fee-only retained fraction is:
(1 − source fee) × (1 − destination fee)
Two 1% fees create 1.99% fee-only drag. Two 4% fees create 7.84%. At 2% on both sides, a normalized 100 units becomes 98 after the first fee and 96.04 after the second: 3.96% drag. This illustration holds exchange ratios constant and excludes price impact, gas and rounding; it is not a real output quote.
Rotation is not basket management
Changing from an X/Y/Z quote to an X/Y/W quote is outside dedicated MVP rotation. You would need separate supported transactions with their own market requirements and costs. No rotation action changes what the existing basket owes its receipt holders.
Read trading in basket units to separate the meme position from the asset used to measure it.
