Frequently asked questions
Is the meme token backed by stocks?
The precise relationship is that the meme trades against a basket receipt or direct stock token. A basket receipt has fixed component redemption rights; the meme does not. To reach the basket from a meme holding, you need an executable sale. See token rights.
Does trading the meme automatically grow my basket?
No. A completed profitable trade measured in basket units can return more receipts than you spent. A losing trade returns fewer. Volume, holding the meme and creator buybacks do not automatically credit additional basket tokens to you. See the worked examples.
If the stocks rise, must the meme rise?
No. The meme's dollar price combines its price in quote units with the quote's dollar value. A 50% fall against a basket that rises 20% gives a 40% dollar loss. The meme has no peg or floor.
Is one basket token always worth $1?
No. $1 is the initial target for a newly created percentage-based recipe. Quantities are fixed once; prices and weights then move. Reusing a basket never resets it. Advanced exact-quantity recipes may begin at another value.
Can I own or bundle a basket without launching a meme?
Yes, that is part of the intended product. A basket can exist independently and be reused across launches. Defining a recipe and funding a mint are different actions. See bundle.
Can I redeem a basket for just one component?
Normal redemption returns the whole fixed recipe proportionally. Selecting only a favored component would change the redemption obligation and is not supported. Receiving healthy components during authorized recovery is a separate process that preserves impaired-component rights.
Can a creator change the stocks later?
No. Recipes do not rebalance, substitute components or change quantities. A new recipe is a different basket. A change in issuer token economics or price-display multipliers must not be confused with discretionary Lots recipe editing.
Can two memes with similar baskets rotate?
Only if both registered launches use the exact same registered basket vault on the same chain. Matching lists, quantities or branding across two separate vaults is insufficient. Direct-stock rotation requires the same registered stock-token address. Mixed quote types and cross-basket rotation are outside MVP.
Does rotation pay only one fee?
No. It performs a source sale and destination buy. Each applicable fee applies; the destination can still be in its high opening-buy-fee period. See rotate.
Can I pay or receive stablecoins?
User-facing stablecoin payments and outputs are deferred. ETH is the initial routed choice, alongside supported basket, direct-stock and complete-component routes. An internal validated stablecoin routing leg does not make stablecoins a final-output option.
Why can I unbundle but not sell to ETH?
In-kind redemption requires transferable backing. ETH liquidation additionally requires executable markets for all components. A missing market can block the longer route without preventing the token transfers. See routes and prices.
What does the creator receive at launch?
No free or reserved allocation. The creator may make a paid, unvested, fee-free opening purchase within the launch transaction, receiving at most 5% of original supply. Ordinary price impact and funding/gas costs still apply.
Can the creator edit the name, images or social links?
Only in drafts before launch. Committed metadata values are fixed after signing. Moderation can hide content but cannot replace the committed record. An external website linked from the record may change independently.
Can the creator withdraw liquidity or mint more memes?
The approved design prohibits protected-principal withdrawal and later meme minting. This does not prevent the creator from selling purchased tokens or claiming legitimately earned fees.
Can operators stop all official-pool trading during an exploit?
No discretionary official-pool buy/sell pause is approved for MVP, even in a serious incident. Affected issuance, new launches and official routes have separate controls. Issuer restrictions, liquidity, guards or chain failures can still prevent transactions.
Are buybacks guaranteed to raise the price?
No. They depend on committed earnings, available markets and execution guards. Supply reduction is not a return guarantee. Turning buybacks off does not release past commitments. See buybacks.
Can I sell my recovery claim?
Converted recovery claims are non-transferable and bound to the entitled wallet. Unconverted basket receipts retain their entitlements and existing transfer rules. Recovery has no guaranteed amount or timeline, and its integrated implementation is unvalidated.
Is Lots audited, live or legally cleared?
This documentation establishes none of those statuses. It describes PRD v4 requirements. See product status for the unresolved engineering, security and legal evidence.
