Before your first transaction
These walkthroughs describe the PRD v4 experience. They are not instructions to send funds to a verified deployment: this documentation does not yet publish approved Lots contract addresses or establish live availability. Check product status first.
Prepare your wallet
Lots is designed for existing self-custody desktop and mobile wallets. Compatible multisig and contract wallets require validated signatures and settlement support. Email or social signup wallets are outside the initial scope.
The intended network is Robinhood Chain. ETH is needed there for gas, even if your trade uses basket or stock tokens. Consult the chain operator's network documentation for current settings; do not assume an asset on another chain is usable without a separate supported transfer. Lots' initial platform does not include an integrated bridge or fiat onramp.
Keep gas separate from the amount you intend to spend. “No creation fee” or “no redemption protocol fee” does not mean a transaction is free.
Check access and identity
The official platform design blocks protected actions from the UK and US, and when location cannot be established. This is not a complete eligibility policy; issuer restrictions and additional legal decisions remain relevant. See access.
Before trading, inspect the network, registered token identity and quote. Search by exact address when possible. Matching a name, ticker or image is not enough to establish that a token is the intended launch.
Understand the wallet prompts
| Prompt | Purpose | What to inspect |
|---|---|---|
| Connect | Let the site read the selected public account | Site origin and account |
| Sign in | Authenticate access to drafts or preferences | Domain, chain, purpose, nonce and expiry |
| Approve | Allow a specified contract to spend a token | Token, spender and allowance |
| Transaction signature | Authorize the onchain action | Amounts, network, destination, costs and protected output |
A login signature does not authorize a trade. An approval may be a separate transaction before the combined trade or mint. A later trade failure does not undo an approval that already confirmed.
Read the review before signing
A quote should show the selected input and output, route, applicable meme fees, component execution costs, price impact, expected output, protected minimum output or maximum spend, expiry, gas and refunds. Default slippage is 1%; you can choose another setting, but the platform must not widen it automatically.
If you change the amount, route or asset, obtain a new quote. During the opening period, check the actual buy fee rather than relying on a countdown estimate.
Follow the transaction to completion
The interface distinguishes approval, signing, submission, chain inclusion, confirmation and indexing. A transaction may appear in the explorer before the platform updates its history.
If the wallet rejects signing, your draft should remain. If a transaction reverts, required settlement legs roll back, although gas can still be spent. If a transaction is replaced, follow the replacement receipt before deciding whether to resubmit.
Start with the action you intend: bundle, launch, buy or sell, or rotate.
