Unbundle a basket
Unbundling means burning basket tokens and receiving the complete fixed stock-token recipe. In the normal healthy state, the burn and component transfers settle atomically.
It does not sell stocks for dollars, deliver brokerage shares or redeem a meme token directly.
1. Start with basket tokens
Open your basket holding and inspect its vault, balance, exact recipe and state. You must hold the basket receipt itself. If you hold only a meme, first obtain basket tokens through an executable meme sale, or select a supported combined sale-to-components route.
The quote inventory shown inside the meme pool is not your personal basket balance.
2. Review every output
Choose how many basket tokens to redeem. The preview must show every component, its token address and the exact output after atomic-unit rounding.
Using the fictional recipe, redeeming 120 whole basket tokens returns 0.6 X, 0.72 Y and 1.2 Z. If component prices doubled, those token quantities would still be the same. Their dollar values would change.
Normal redemption does not let you choose “only X” or substitute one component for another. To change your composition, first obtain the components and make separate supported trades. The original basket remains unchanged.
3. Sign and verify settlement
Review the wallet prompts and gas. Successful redemption burns your selected basket amount and sends the complete recipe to the intended recipient.
If a required component cannot transfer, normal full-basket redemption must not silently pay only the others. That operation reverts. An impairment may require the separately authorized recovery process, which preserves healthy and impaired-component entitlements under different rules.

A component may have no executable market while remaining transferable. In that situation, complete in-kind redemption can still work even if liquidation to ETH cannot.
The platform must not change your selected ETH output into stock tokens on failure. You can explicitly choose a token output after reviewing a fresh quote.
Rounding, fees and continuity
Redemption outputs round down at atomic-unit precision. Small residual balances can remain as vault surplus; neither the final holder nor an administrator gets an automatic right to withdraw them. See basket accounting.
There is no Lots basket redemption protocol fee. Gas and any subsequent component trades remain separate costs.
Healthy in-kind redemption is intended to remain usable without the main site, its indexer or a dollar price feed. This requires released verified interfaces and the minimal client; their existence is still a release dependency, not something this guide establishes.
